Encrypt Files
Encrypting files is sensationally simple using Ashampoo WinOptimizer 9. This is how to encrypt a file: First choose the file you want to encrypt. You may either use the browse button to set the path to your file or use Drag&Drop to drag a file into the input field from Windows® Explorer (see arrow). Then you have to enter a password and repeat your password in the second field (see green box). Then you must decide if you would like to delete the original file by by checking or unchecking the Delete original file once encryption is completed successfully option checkbox. Furthermore, it’s possible to save the encrypted file as an *.exe file. This means that you won’t need Ashampoo WinOptimizer 9 to open the encrypted file. It can then be opened on any Windows computer using the selected password. Click Start to begin the encryption process (see red box).
