Fast Defragmentation
This strategy will defragment all possible files, but will not move them to a better position on the disk. This strategy should only be used, if a quick defragmentation of fragmented files is needed. NOTE: Running a fast defragmentation will not achieve much, if you have been running defragmentation in the proactive mode. On FAT formatted volumes this selection is ignored and the default strategy for FAT volumes is used.
Normal Defragmentation
This strategy will defragment all possible files and move them to a better position on the disk for faster drive access. This provides a more thorough defragmentation optimization of the disk. This strategy should be used, if the files on the disk are not often modified. NOTE: This procedure is considerably slower than the fast defragmentation, but provides a more complete optimization. It is not necessary to use this mode every time, unless there is enough time to run the procedure. On FAT formatted volumes this selection is ignored and the default strategy for FAT volumes is used.
Intelligent Defragmentation
This strategy will defragment all possible files and move them to a better position on the disk for faster drive access, while leaving often fragmented files at the end of the used space of your partition. This strategy should be used, if a lot of files on the disk are often modified. On FAT formatted volumes this selection is ignored and the default strategy for FAT volumes is used.
